On July 30, Trump reposted a message that had been posted to his Truth Social platform.
Why would Trump do this? Does he know something about Wray’s culpability? Maybe, maybe not. Wray has certainly acted suspiciously in the wake of the J13 assassination attempt. Including pretending not to know during a House Oversight Committee hearing if Trump was hit by a bullet or whatever. Which is pretty remarkable, considering the widely published photograph of the bullet passing by Trump’s head.
Regardless of any putative involvement in a conspiracy Wray might or might not be involved with, there is a solid strategic reason for preemptively blaming Wray. If Trump is successfully assassinated, millions will be outraged and in search of a scapegoat. If Trump preemptively provides them with that scapegoat, regardless of whether or not that designation might be accurate, his post serves to put Wray on notice that he would be dealing with the mother of all hornets’ nests. Wray may suddenly now have a vested interest in working to ensure Trump’s safety.
Recall that it was Wray who recently publicly emphasized an Iranian assassination plot targeting Trump, and he did so shortly after the J13 attempt. If the Secret Service is unable to protect Trump from a 20-year-old with a cheap rifle, they certainly are not prepared to counter trained assassins. However, Iran’s mullahs probably have no interest in sparking a war with America and committing suicide. It seems highly unlikely they would risk taking such a bold step. They are careful to operate through proxies (Hamas, Houthis, Hez b’allah, etc.), rather than directly confronting Israel or America. Trump reminded them of the consequences from funding terrorism with his hit on Soleimani. The legacy media conceals Iran’s persistent attacks on Americans, but these did not end with Trump’s elimination of Soleimani. They are continuing under the cover of the media’s cloak of darkness.
I am outraged and deeply saddened by the deaths of three of our U.S. service members and the wounding of other American troops in an attack last night against U.S. and coalition forces, who were deployed to a site in northeastern Jordan near the Syrian border to work for the lasting defeat of ISIS. These brave Americans and their families are in my prayers, and the entire Department of Defense mourns their loss.
Iran-backed militias are responsible for these continued attacks on U.S. forces, and we will respond at a time and place of our choosing.
The President and I will not tolerate attacks on American forces, and we will take all necessary actions to defend the United States, our troops, and our interests.
If you think the same president who has pumped billions of dollars into Iran is about to do anything to retaliate, you are missing the plot.
The question as to why Wray would harp on this alleged threat, immediately after J13, was whether he was also preemptively concocting a scapegoat if anything should happen to Trump. Trump just showed two can play that game. Wray has been warning against a heightened Iranian threat environment since October 7. Wray’s most recent re-emphasis occurs around the same time there is a report that Trump is considering hiring supplemental security on top of his Secret Service protection.
Wray’s broadcasting of the potential for an Iranian hit on Trump, immediately after the failed Butler, PA assassination, provides a ready scapegoat should a successful strike occur. Regardless of who the perpetrators might be. An Oswald in waiting, should the need for a patsy arrive. Or this would at least serve to muddy the waters in identifying the culprits and a motive. Iranian shooters could be added to the list of professions Americans are unwilling or unable to perform anymore.
Don’t think there is not an entire Washington-based industry which would love an excuse to start a direct war with Iran. This would also be a convenient distraction if it were to coincide with a 2024 election theft.
CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE
At a bare minimum, USSS officials, along with their boss Mayorkas, are guilty of criminal negligence in creating the conditions Thomas Crooks exploited. They are accessories to murder. Stay tuned, because at least one of the two injured men from Butler is reportedly close to retaining counsel. If you leave the keys in a vehicle's ignition, and a loaded handgun on the front seat, you have criminal liability if a teenager steals the vehicle and creates mayhem, because of the reasonable person standard. Any reasonable person could have foreseen they were responsible for creating the possibility of criminality. Neither local law enforcement nor federal actors can be expected to be truthful in any of the investigations because they could be admitting to criminal and/or civil liability if they were to be honest.
Read what you will into the FBI’s apparent greater openness in congressional hearings than that displayed by local law enforcement and the USSS, who are busy pointing fingers at each other, or at least covering up for the other. They both contain individuals facing potential civil and criminal liability prosecutions, a status the FBI lacks. While the possible presence of a conspiracy is yet to become apparent, the negligence displayed is difficult to explain away as anything other than intentional.
The FBI may also have another motive at play, which is to impose radio silence over their investigation to allow wild conspiracy theories to ferment. When additional details eventually become released, and some of these theories are negated, it throws all theories into disrepute — including any which might be accurate. It is too early to know if there was a conspiracy and Crooks was manipulated into acting. If this turns out to be true, it certainly would not be the first time in recent years when a young male was set up by the FBI (or perhaps another federal entity) to commit what is essentially a false flag attack. Regardless of the results of any investigation, few will believe the conclusions. In recent years the DOJ has established it can not be trusted.
IS THE USSS UNDER DEEP STATE CONTROL?
Just as there are many legitimate, patriotic FBI and USSS agents, the leadership of both agencies is corrupted. Once the USSS was moved out of the Treasury Department and placed under DHS control, the writing was on the wall. Remember former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s BS hearsay account of how Trump attempted to grab the steering wheel of his vehicle being driven by a Secret Service agent on J6? Remember how all the USSS texts from J6 were conveniently erased? Remember how the J6 Select Committee failed to take public testimony from the USSS driver?
WHAT EVERYONE IS MISSING
One consequence of the Butler, PA incident was that Trump (in a typical politically astute move) immediately called for RFK Jr. to be provided Secret Service protection, and this time it was finally done. Everyone has been holding Mayorkas responsible for withholding protection, but it turns out that decision was not solely at his discretion. Under 18 U.S.C. § 3056:
[Protection shall be provided to] Major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates . . . As used in this paragraph, the term “major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates” means those individuals identified as such by the Secretary of Homeland Security after consultation with an advisory committee consisting of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the minority leader of the House of Representatives, the majority and minority leaders of the Senate, and one additional member selected by the other members of the committee.
The five congressional leaders need to be forced to explain why Kennedy was left defenseless. Polling has been showing that Kennedy will pull more votes from the Democratic candidate than from Trump. If inquisitive reporters establish it was Democrats who blocked protection, that provides yet another reason for Kennedy voters to abandon the party.
WHO IS REALLY IN CHARGE?
The USSS has long been a mess. As we previously noted, it is hopelessly behind the times and is basically the Post Office with guns and motorcades. Putin’s guards are probably laughing in the Kremlin at how amateurish their American counterparts have been proven.
The warning signs were there long before Kimberly Cheatle, who took over as USSS Director on September 28, 2022. It was bad to begin with, and she accelerated its decline. The Secret Service experienced a 48% departure rate in 2022. Hello? She sought to have 30% of her force female by 2030. Considering that by 2021 the service’s academy class was majority female, that objective can easily be met. The 2012 Colombian prostitution scandal is another example of endemic rot within the USSS. Along with various other lesser scandals, some going back over 20 years.
Cheatle was in charge when all the USSS J6 texts were “accidentally” deleted. This suggests she is Deep State aligned. Butler, PA did nothing to counter that suspicion. When this long after an assassination attempt the public still has no idea if it was an inside job, that is problematic. The House Oversight Committee has been investigating her agency since May. That inquiry will now expand.
These circumstances raise a significant question. The USSS falls under the Executive Branch, nominally supposed to be under the control of presidents. One would think because they have a vested interest in ensuring their safety, they would see to it that their protectors are world class. As Cheatle (and her replacement, USSS Acting Director Ronald Rowe Jr.) have made clear in their congressional testimony, they are Deep State actors, sent in to obscure the truth. Which makes too much sense. If those covertly controlling the government demand complete control, the last thing they would want are impediments from eliminating any president who failed to adhere to their criteria.
Former USSS agent Dan Bongino has been especially critical in decrying the agency’s longstanding problems, and in specifically condemning Cheatle and Rowe. In Rome, the emperor’s elite Praetorian Guards eventually came to control whether emperors lived or died, to the point of deposing emperors and selecting their replacement, or killing each other to take turns as the emperor. Emperors made sure their guards were well paid. After a few hundred years of this, Constantine finally wised up and disbanded the guards. We have allowed our government to degenerate to the point where a president’s security detail can not be trusted. An historical eventuality which should have been foreseen.
Nor is this news. Security details have been infiltrated with bad actors in the past. The driver of JFK’s Lincoln Continental limousine slowed the motorcade to a crawl as it passed through Dealey Plaza. RFK Jr. contends Sirhan Sirhan, imprisoned for murdering his father, was a patsy and the real perpetrator was part of the security detail.
In 1979, the U.S. House of Representatives’ Select Committee on Assassinations concluded:
The committee believes, on the basis of the evidence available to it, that President John F. Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy.
The committee believes on the basis of the circumstantial evidence available to it, that there is a likelihood that James Earl Ray assassinated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as a result of a conspiracy.”
Does this not sound all too familiar:
The HSCA made several accusations of deficiency against the FBI and CIA, as did the Church Committee in 1976. The accusations encompassed organizational failures, miscommunication, and a desire to keep certain parts of their operations secret. Furthermore, the Warren Commission expected these agencies to be forthcoming with any information that would aid their investigation. But the FBI and CIA only saw it as their duty to respond to specific requests for information from the commission. However, the HSCA found the FBI and CIA were deficient in performing even that limited role.
In other news from July 30, the Vice President of the United States addressed the border crisis head-on:
I went after transnational gangs, drug cartels and human traffickers that came into our country illegally. I prosecuted them in case after case, and I won. Donald Trump, on the other hand, has been talking a big game about securing our border, but he does not walk the walk.
Donald Trump does not care about border security — he only cares about himself. As president, I will bring back the border security bill that Donald Trump killed, and I will sign it into law, and show Donald Trump what real leadership looks like.
Got that?
The only American major party presidential candidate to be nominated without a single grassroots vote, simultaneously took her campaign on the road to Atlanta (Fani Willis country) and saw it peak on the same day. Kamalamania has come and gone.
Trigger warnings: Her inaugural campaign speech contains no mention of climate change. No mention of food prices. No mention of China. No mention of Hamas. No mention of Russia. No mention of student debt. No mention of her free spirit husband. No mention of race. It almost seemed as if her speech was drafted by ChatGPT after filtering out any issues which did not pass poll testing.
FULL TRANSCRIPT
Good evening thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you everyone. Thank you, thank you [Applause], thank you all, thank you very much, thank you everybody. Oh it's good to be back in [Applause] Georgia. Thank you everyone. Can we please hear it for [Applause] Tyler? I want to thank Tyler for that incredible introduction. I invited him and several other young entrepreneurs to come and visit with me at the White House and we had a really very long and important conversation about the future of America and Tyler — you represent the best of our future. Thank you. [Applause] And please give it up for Quavo and Megan [Thee Stallion — the actual reason most of the audience was present].
So it is so good to see everyone and let me, let me thank our incredible members of Congress who are with us this evening: Senator John Osoff, Senator Rapael Warnock, and representative Nikema Williams. [Applause] To Mayor Andre Dickens: thank you for welcoming me back to Atlanta and thank you to the great Stacy Abrams. Your extraordinary leadership. So Georgia, it is so good to be back and I am very clear: the path to the White House runs right through this state. And you all helped us win in 2020 and we're going to do it again in 2024. Yes we will.
So let's get right down. So I'm a get, I'm a get into some business now. Okay I'm a get into some business now. All right, so Georgia, as many of you know before, and have a seat if you have a chair, as many of you know, before I was elected Vice President, and before I was elected a United States Senator, I was an elected attorney general, and an elected district attorney, and before that I was a courtroom prosecutor. So in those roles I took on perpetrators of all [Applause] kinds. Predators who abuse women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers. Cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain.
So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump's [Applause] type, I know the type, and I have been dealing with my entire career. For example, as Attorney General of California I took on one of our country's largest for profit colleges that was scamming students. Well, Donald Trump ran a for-profit college that scammed students. As a prosecutor I specialized in child sexual abuse cases and sexual abuse cases. Well, Trump was found liable for committing sexual abuse. [Boos] And as an attorney general I held the big Wall Street banks accountable for fraud. Donald Trump was just found guilty of fraud 34 counts. [Applause]
So in this campaign, [Lock him up, lock him up], so in this campaign I will proudly put my record against his. [Applause] Any day of the week, including for example, on the issue of immigration was Attorney General of a border state. In that job I walked underground tunnels between the United States and Mexico on that border with law enforcement officers. I went after transnational gangs, drug cartels and human traffickers that came into our country illegally. I prosecuted them in case after case, and I won.
Donald Trump, Donald Trump on the other hand, has been talking a big game about securing our border but he does not walk the walk. Or as my friend Quavo would say: he does not walk it like he talks it. [Applause] Our administration worked on the most significant border security bill in decades. Some of the most conservative Republicans in Washington, DC supported the bill. even the Border Patrol endorsed it. It was all set to pass, but at the last minute Trump directed his allies in the Senate to vote it down. He tanked, tanked the bipartisan deal because he thought it would help him win an election. [Boos] Which goes to show Donald Trump does not care about border security. He only cares about himself and when I am president I will work to actually solve the problem. [Applause]
So here is my pledge to you: as president I will bring back the border security bill that Donald Trump killed and I will sign it into law [Applause] and show Donald Trump what real leadership looks like. [Applause] But make no mistake, this campaign is not just about us versus Donald Trump. Truly, this campaign is about two very different visions for our nation: one focused on the future, the other focused on the past. We believe in a future where every person has the opportunity to build a business, to own a home, to build intergenerational wealth. A future with affordable health care, affordable child care, paid leave, and all of this is to say, building up the middle class will be a defining goal of my [Applause] presidency. Because we here all know when our middle class is strong, America is strong. [Applause] And to keep our middle class strong families need relief from the high cost of living so that they have a chance not just to get by, but to get ahead.
And yes, it is true that by many indicators our economy is the strongest in the world. But while inflation is down and wages are up, prices are still too high, you know it and I know it. And when we win this election here's what we're going to do about it. On day one I will take on price gouging and bring down costs. [Applause] We will ban more of those hidden fees and surprise late charges that banks and other companies use to pad their profit. We will take on corporate landlords and cap unfair rent increases [Applause]. And we will take on big Pharma to cap prescription drug costs for all Americans [Applause]. Our plan will lower costs and save many middle class families thousands of dollars a year.
But Donald Trump has a different plan in mind, one that would raise prices on middle class families. Just look at his project 2025 agenda. [Boos] I take it you've seen it. Project 2025 is a plan to weaken the middle class. Be clear, and Donald Trump intends to cut Social Security and Medicare. He intends to give tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations. He intends to gut our investments in clean energy jobs. He intends to end the Affordable Care Act. [Boos] to take us back to a time insurance companies had the power to deny people with pre-existing conditions. You guys remember what that was: children with asthma, breast cancer survivors, grandparents with diabetes. Georgia, America has tried these failed policies before and we are not going back. We're not going back. [We’re not going back, We’re not going back, We’re not going back, We’re not going back, We’re not going back.] And we are not going back because ours is a fight for the future, and it is a fight for freedom.
Across our nation we are witnessing a full-on assault on hard fought, hard won freedoms and rights. The freedom to vote, the freedom to be safe from gun violence, the freedom to live without fear of bigotry and hate, the freedom to love who you love — openly and with pride. [Applause] The freedom to learn and acknowledge our true and full history, and the freedom of a woman to make decisions about her own body and not have her government tell her what to do. [Applause]
Ours is a fight for the future and for freedom. And I don't have to tell folks in Atlanta that generations of Americans before us led the fight for freedom, and now the baton is in our hands, each and every one of us. And we love our country, we love our country. And I believe it is the highest form of patriotism to fight for the ideals of our country. And so, we who believe in the sacred freedom to vote will finally pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. [Apause] We who believe in the freedom to live safe from gun violence will finally pass universal background checks, red flag laws, and an assault weapons ban. We who believe in reproductive freedom will stop Donald Trump's extreme abortion bans. And when Congress passes a law to restore reproductive freedoms, as President of the United States I will sign it in law. [Applause] So November 5th, November 5th, is in 98 days, in 98 days.
And let's level set friends, let's level set. We have a fight in front of us. We have a fight in front of us and we are the underdogs in this race. We are. But you see this is a people powerered campaign. Ours is a people powered campaign. In fact, after I announced my candidacy, we saw the best week of grassroots fundraising in presidential campaign history. And if you go to kamalaharris.com you can help us build on that success.
So the momentum in this race is shifting and there are signs that Donald Trump is feeling it. You may have noticed. So last week, you may have seen he pulled out of the debate in September he had previously agreed to. So, so here's the thing. Here, here's the funny thing about that, here's the funny thing about that. So he won't debate but he and his running mate sure seem to have a lot to say about me and by the way, don't you find some of their stuff to just be plain weird? Well Donald, I do hope you'll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage because, as the saying goes, if you got something to say, say it to my face. [Applause]
Thank you. Thank you. So Georgia, in the next 98 days we have our work cut out for us, and this is not going to be easy. This is hard work but we like hard work. Hard work is good work. So Georgia, today I ask you, are you ready to get to work? Do we believe in Freedom? Do we believe in opportunity? Do we believe in the promise of America and are we ready to fight for it? And when we fight we win. God bless you. God bless the United States of America.
