Sept. 2, 2021
Narcissistic Personality Disorder [NPD] eventually sullies everyone in the orbit of such individuals. Those so afflicted possess well-defined symptoms, such as lacking empathy for their victims — including those slaughtered by an Afghan suicide bomber or left behind to face certain death in enemy territory. There is a reason Biden’s meeting with the 13 Afghanistan Gold Star families went so poorly — he is incapable of anything other than phony empathy.
Biden’s generals, diplomats, party members, and spokespersons are enablers of a twisted mind — struggling to normalize sociopathic behavior. Biden has always had a hair-trigger temper (another symptom), ready to snap at any dog-faced pony soldier daring to question his intelligence or integrity. Not that he scores high on either count. His staff is terrified to challenge or correct him. It is irrational to expect him to admit error for the greatest blunder of his career.
Biden has spent his life living lies, consistently fabricating transparent tales of his superiority. On a 1-10 scale, he scores 12, well into the delusional spectrum of NPD, displaying the typical grandiosity associated with the syndrome. Elizabeth Holmes on steroids. Elevated to the presidency with the collusion of the media, his true dysfunctionality was laid bare for all to see in his bizarre post-Kabul airport attack press conference of August 26, 2021, when he stood humiliated before the world, a deer staring into the oncoming headlights of reality.
Five days later, Biden was back in form, with deranged barking into the camera, claiming an “extraordinary success.” There has been press silence regarding the fate of the hundreds of Americans, and tens of thousands of Afghan allies, left behind to the hands of the Taliban, victims of this narcissist’s extraordinary success.
Biden’s “controlled narcissistic rage” is ever present, occasionally spilling over into overt hostility. Those attributing his current dysfunctionality to senility have not been paying attention over the past half century. He may be slower now, but the weirdness is innate.
During a July 2007 Democratic primary candidates debate, Biden stated:
Let’s start telling the truth [about Iraq]. Number one, you take all the troops out — you better have helicopters ready to take those 3,000 civilians inside the Green Zone, where I have been seven times and shot at. You better make sure you have protection for them, or [you will] let them die, number one.
Ignoring the lie that he was shot at (which he was forced to retract), the Biden of 2007 would have been the first to castigate his 2021 version, if he thought it would score political points. He is a moral vacuum, the product of decades in a corrupt Senate. Too many mistake his innate hardwiring for senility - Biden 2.0 is merely slower than Biden 1.0, but still unhinged. Richard Holbrooke’s notes from an Obama administration Situation Room meeting on Afghanistan: “Vice President Joe Biden said that every one of Pakistan’s interests was also America’s interest: HUH?” To be fair, if John Kerry (another classic narcissist) was president we would probably witness similar looniness. The question is not whether Biden has lost his marbles, but whether he ever had any. Biden’s Afghanistan press conferences and interviews have many wondering if Baghdad Bob should retain a copyright attorney to sue for stealing his act. Obama/Biden previously snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in their Iraq withdrawal, ceding the field to ISIS murderers, “the JV team.” Another war was required to clean up that mess. A refugee crisis of over 16 million ensued, with millions resettled into Europe.
Biden, the pandering senator, has always been the smartest guy in the room — just ask him. He had an entirely different perspective in 2006, when he played the part of the loyal opposition:
Let me just say this. The administration thus far has not had a strategy for victory, they had a strategy on how to avoid outright defeat. …Three things everyone knows have to be dealt with. One is the militias and infiltration of the regular army and the police by the sectarian thugs that no one trusts. … And three, a way in which for the major powers to call for a regional conference whereby you get the powers in the region to agree to keep hands off. And for the major powers to essentially be the arbiters of that. But it remains to be seen what the president is saying to the Iraqi government or what he thinks needs to do, what he thinks needs to be done. If it’s the status quo ante, just that we got rid of Zarqawi, and that there is a unity government, if that’s the basis on which the president thinks we're going to prevail in Iraq, I think he's sadly mistaken. …There's two things that you have to look at: getting American forces out and secondly is leaving something behind that's more stable than when you went in. And so one of the things we're all working on together, and the Democratic caucus, is such a proposal.
…One of the things we learned in the other war this is compared to, Vietnam, is unless you level with the American people, you can’t expect to get their support. This Administration, day one has not leveled with the American people. And they wonder why the American people are walking away from this. The idea that this administration doesn't know the minimum amount of money they're going to need to spend next fiscal year in Iraq, if that's really true, it reinforces the idea ...the point that they have no idea what they’re doing. None whatsoever. We should level with the American people. It should be on the regular budget. It should not be in a supplemental. Everyone knows it costs 5 to 8 billion dollars a month, depending on the month, what is just to maintain our forces there. Tell the American people the truth, they’re grown-ups.
When Biden goes to Maui and antagonizes fire victims by telling a tall tale about a kitchen fire, his cat and Corvette, it is not an anomaly with him. This deeply flawed human, who can not feel empathy, personalizes his life experiences when attempting to comfort victims. It is all about him.
A high percentage of criminals (including Biden) are full-blown narcissists. Any judge has seen countless examples. Judge Jeanine Pero was merely stating her obvious observations in the wake of the Maui fires:
This guy has been lying from the moment he came on the political scene. He has a lack of empathy. He is egocentric. He’s got a condescending smirk whenever anybody asks him a question from the press. He’s lying and he’s narcissistic. He’s a narcissist and an egomaniac who’s trying to make it about himself.
Law enforcement personnel (including judges) frequently encounter this sort of behavior among criminals. During sentencing hearings it is common for defendants to show no remorse or empathy for victims. Their statements are entirely self-centered. They display a sense of entitlement and believe rules are for others to adhere to. Contemptuous and impatient behavior is common. Their need to be in control is overwhelming.
Biden’s pathological, life-long pattern of lying is symptomatic of an underlying disorder. It rests upon a need (not a mere desire) to always be right, always be the smartest one in the room. It reflects a pathological willingness, indeed need, to lie in order to make the world revolve around them. It explains the reckless, open way he traveled the globe, shaking down bribes from any and all. Money equals status, something narcissists crave like the rest of us need water. It explains the obvious pedophilia and sniffing, manifestations of a need to be sexually dominant. There is no doubt regarding the identity of the dominant spouse in his marriage. Biden’s parading naked before female Secret Service agents is yet another sign. Fabricating tales and then repeating them constantly, whether of his athletic prowess or having been a truck driver, suggests an inability to separate reality from self-generated myths. This guy is one sick puppy.
The root cause of Biden's narcissism is no different from that of most — it stems from a deep-seated sense of inferiority, beginning in childhood. In his case, a childhood stutter and having been kept back in third grade, along with a highly dysfunctional family. His deep-seated insecurity manifests as a fear of being seen as stupid.
Biden’s biographer: I think one of the things that's so interesting about Joe Biden is that he has these insecurities that govern a lot of the ways in which he moves through the world. And so one of his primary insecurities is that he doesn't want to be perceived as stupid, because he had this plagiarism scandal back in the 1980s. And so when he walks into an interview, or he walks into a press conference, he wants to under…, he wants to have Mastery of what he's discussing. And so his prep sessions can go on for a long time.
Mark Schmitz, a Gold Star father from the Kabul airport suicide bombing, in testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, documented the sort of suffering narcissists can cause:
I'm the Gold Star father of Marine Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz, who was killed at the age of 20, at the Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26, 2021. I identify as a father, a husband, a pissed-off, fed-up American patriot. And now, thanks to this administration, a Gold Star dad. A title no one ever wants to have. From the age of 3, Jared has always dreamed of being a Marine. Once he made it into his sophomore year of high school, he was heart-set on becoming a Marine. His next move after graduation. Little did he know or I know that would end up being his final major decision in his life.
2021 rolls around quickly, he says he's getting to come home to see us and his brothers and sisters, because he's finally getting to go home on his first deployment to Jordan. I could see the excitement and nerves in his eyes, similar to when he left for boot camp. The unknown could always be a scary thing but the thrill to see the world also drove the excitement. He felt like he was finally getting the chance to make a difference. He felt by becoming a Marine he would make that difference a reality. To know Jared meant you knew he always looked out for the little guy. He was the type of young man who looked out for everyone. Especially those not capable of looking out for themselves. While in Jordan, he trained with his fellow Marines as they honed their skills to perfection. He earned the right to shoot and train with a designated marksman. So I again reminded him of the opportunity that he could be a sniper someday. He says, no, dad, too much math. Little did we know at that time, that a sniper of all people would be the first and biggest asset that we would meet later on, named Tyler Vargas Andrews. Thank you, again, sir, for being here.
Jared reached out to me mid August and said they were sending him somewhere he couldn't talk about. I knew it had to be Afghanistan. We followed the news back home about what was going on and knew that had to be the place. Ever since Biden decided to ignore all reliable intelligence from his top advisors, and close Bagram Air Force Base anyway, on July 1, 2021, which directly and immediately led to the Taliban’s taking back most of Afghanistan, that our warriors previously had fought so hard to control. We knew somehow Jared and his Marine brothers would end up there, having to help clean up this mess that never should have been created in the first place.
After landing in Afghanistan a few days went by before I heard from him. When he finally had a chance to call, he told me he was at the Abbey Gate. He said he thought he was going to die there, those first couple of days due to the absolute chaos. He said, “Dad, the look on these people's faces was that of utter human desperation and there's no way we can save them all.” He said he was exhausted and needed to get some rest before going back on the post. He told me they were shifting his post and he would be heading out on the airstrip. That never happened. The next day the explosion happened. The next day my son was gone forever. Fortunately, I was able to tell him I love him one last time.
Jared would have made a wonderful husband, a father. He wanted to go into law enforcement after the Marine Corps, but changed his mind after seeing how our police have been treated the first year of Biden's administration. He had mentioned taking over the family business someday, and that couldn't have made me happier. All these things have been stripped from us now and none of them will happen. He will never have the sun shine on his face again. He will never have the chance to get married, he will never experience the joy of being a father and he would have been one hell of a dad. We will never meet our grandkids. Our family name died that day. Two years has gone by and where are we? To be frank, we're knee deep in bullshit is where we are.
Everyone who held a key position in the military still holds that position. Or has been promoted. John Kirby still sits on his perch, which apparently faces the opposite direction from where the action was. Blinken continues to delay key evidence by delaying subpoenas. Not a single general slapped down their stars, which should have happened two years ago when Biden ignored his reliable intelligence.
Not a single person has been held accountable. Our so-called leader can't seem to even utter their names in public, not even once. Mr. Biden has run his entire political campaign for 50 years as the family man. Well I’ve got news for you, sir, the curtain has been lifting, and that campaign slogan will never work again. We have been seeing what is going on in your family, and even worse, how you have been treating us, as Gold Star families.
And there cannot be anything more cowardly, and disgusting, than how you have treated us. You are a disgrace to the nation. You have no business having ultimate command over our military, and I regret not saying that to your face when I had the opportunity, in Dover. I felt it more important to bite my tongue. But I also had more important things on my mind at the time, like receiving my son's lifeless body stateside. I stood there on the tarmac watching you check your watch, over and over again. All I wanted to do is shout out: it’s 2 fucking 30, asshole! But out of respect to the other grieving families I bit my tongue once again. Well as you can probably tell by now, I’m done biting my tongue. You, sir, stole their lives, their futures, their dreams, and have ripped apart 13 families. You cannot even man up and admit that. You,sir, gave us all the title Gold Star family. You, sir, discredit honor and integrity. Two years later there are things I find myself thinking about: what was Biden's logic sneaking out of Bagram in the middle of the night before ever getting a single Afghan partner or American civilian out?
This is the purest definition of intentional negligence. This is just one of many irresponsible and negligent decisions coming from the White House. In addition, leaving behind billions of dollars of our finest military hardware has led to the biggest international black market, free market in history. This will undoubtedly lead to more military lives lost in the future. Between what has been happening here domestically, for example the border over the last two and a half years, and all of your failed foreign policy decisions, I would venture a guess that you have more American blood on your hands, Mr. Biden, than any president in U.S. history.
While in Florida I was approached by a CIA operative, who connected me with several more operatives on a secure phone call. I was told that if the Pentagon, DOD, or State, tries to tell you that they had no idea Afghanistan would collapse so fast after withdrawal, they are completely and utterly full of shit. They kept telling me to follow Bagram, so I did, and so I have. Closing Bagram was the sole responsibility of Joe Biden. [Need anyone be reminded that Biden and his family were on the Chinese payroll, which inherited the airbase after Biden abandoned it.]
It was also the lead domino which led to the demise of Afghanistan. It’s women, children, 170 Afghans, 13 American servicemen [killed at the Kabul airport attack]. And for what? Intelligence given to Joe Biden demonstrated, hands down, Bagram was the most secure and effective place to undertake a massive evacuation. But you chose to ignore all of that. Instead you chose Hamid Karzai [airport], a public airport surrounded by a chain link fence, in an urban environment, without even a usable traffic control tower. One thing I do know, Mr. President, China is certainly enjoying our fortress, known as Bagram, now. I'm often asked what accountability looks like. Simply put: what is most important to me is that history books are written accurately and honestly, and truthfully, about what happened to our fallen 13, the fall of Kabul, and for the truth to be told about those who failed to perform their duties. They should be identified and should be held appropriately accountable.
Lastly, I’ve prepared a short list of answers I will not stop fighting for, as a bare minimum, for the unnecessary and avoidable sacrificial offering of our 13 brave children, on August 26, 2021. I am requesting that Chairman McCaul of the [House] Foreign Affairs Committee subpoena the Inspector General’s office to review the complaints that were filed prior to the bombing of Abbey Gate, and why those complaints went disregarded, and who failed to follow up on them. I am requesting an investigation of President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, as it pertains to Article Three, Sections Two and Three, of the United States Constitution, for their their involvement in intentionally leaving Bagram, and all of its assets, by knowingly aiding known terrorists, all while abandoning U.S. civilians and allied partners. I am requesting chairman MCall to subpoena whoever has the stills and video footage from the Abbey Gate surveillance cameras, the sniper tower rifle scope SD cards. Any drones that were flying that day, as well as all SD cards seized from cameras worn by our military on the ground that day at Abbey Gate, and any other surveillance equipment used not already mentioned. So that the committee can see for themselves exactly what happened over there. [Schmitz obviously had been briefed by CIA, and DOD whistleblowers.]
And finally, answers to the questions from Tyler’s [Sergeant Tyler Vargas-Andrews, a Marine sniper who was gravely injured in the terrorist attack] entire testimony: why didn't NCIS or FBI never interview him? He was easy to find at Walter Reed. How could you send Pentagon officials to Gold Star family living rooms to present your “conclusive investigative reports?” How could a thorough investigation possibly even exist when key witnesses to the events were never even interviewed, including not a single Afghan or the sniper who could have ended it all before it even started. How could it even be acceptable that our snipers could not get an immediate and straight answer from their commanding officer at such a crucial moment? This bombing did not come out of thin air. We had intel the bomber was in the area. Lt. Colonel Whited, and generals on the ground, were aware of this and did absolutely nothing to prepare our sniper teams, which relied on their leadership. In closing, Mr. Biden, and Secretary Austin, and Secretary Blinken, if trusting and supporting our military is too difficult for you, then I suggest you pack your shit and enjoy your retirement. Because from where I sit, on my perch, the noose around your double-down notion that this was “an extraordinary success,” looks like it is tightening a little bit more, each and every day. Thank you. [extended applause]
In his August 26, 2021 statement to the press, ostensibly called to note the 13 American dead from the Kabul airport suicide bombing, as he did at Maui and every other similar situation, Biden personalized the tragedy, and make it about himself:
Being the father of an Army major who served for a year in Iraq and, before that, was in Kosovo as a U.S. attorney for the better part of six months in the middle of a war — when he came home after a year in Iraq, he was diagnosed, like many, many coming home, with an aggressive and lethal cancer of the brain — who we lost. We have some sense, like many of you do, what the families of these brave heroes are feeling today. You get this feeling like you’re being sucked into a black hole in the middle of your chest; there’s no way out.
As usual, it was not true. His son’s brain cancer had nothing to do with his service as an attorney in Iraq. These are the facts: Beau Biden returned from Iraq in September 2009. He was diagnosed with cancer in August 2013. Biden would go on to actively claim his son’s cancer was caused by burn pit exposure in Iraq, an allegation which has been thoroughly debunked. The American public still has not had an accounting of the number of grievously wounded from that attack, buried down the memory hole by Biden’s press enablers.
But this was standard procedure for Biden — turn a personal tragedy into a political talking point while warping the truth. When Biden’s wife and young daughter were killed in an automobile accident (an accident for which she was responsible), for years afterward he would blame it on a drunk truck driver. It was not until the truck driver’s family protested that he finally dropped that routine from his political vocabulary.
At the August 26, 2021 press briefing, Peter Doocey asked:
Mr. President, there had not been a U.S. service member killed in combat in Afghanistan since February of 2020. You set a deadline. You pulled troops out. You sent troops back in. And now 12 Marines are dead. You said the buck stops with you. Do you bear any responsibility for the way that things have unfolded in the last two weeks?
Biden responded by accepting responsibility, but then immediately blamed Trump for setting a withdrawal deadline. This is stereotypical narcissistic behavior — blame others for your failings. Three days after the Kabul airport suicide bombing, a wounded, narcissistic president, lashing out in a tantrum, in search of a rapid solution to his bruised ego, ordered a drone strike that killed 10 civilians, including an aid worker and seven children.
Then there is the full-blown narcissism. It is not a question of whether, but of which species of narcissism and/or Machiavellianism he is afflicted with. At the core of narcissism is condescension, thinking that your are smarter than, able to manipulate, others. This constantly manifests with Biden’s transparent lies and pretensions of being a compelling orator. He actually thinks we are that dumb. Or probably more accurately, that he is that gifted.
Narcissists do enormous damage to those they are in relationships with. Too often they rise to positions of authority, in the corporate and political realms. Hitler’s variant condemned millions. This is what happens when an individual lacks empathy and the wellbeing of others is subsumed to their grandiose aspirations. We need look no further for an example than the current White House occupant. Biden manifests a particularly malignant strain. Many can not understand how he can go to Maui and tell a hyperbolically tall tale regarding almost losing his cat. Yet similar incidents have been repeated time-after-time during his half-century political career. Biden is incapable of empathy, a manifestation of narcissism. To compensate, he constantly attempts to personalize (and grossly exaggerate) his life experiences, while futilely attempting to relate to his audience (whether an individual or a nation). Angry outbursts when challenged are yet another symptom. Ben Shapiro has the receipts. This also explains the wholesale, pathological lying about matters large and small. Or his deep-seated callousness.
America will survive this damaged man, but not without paying a tremendous price.
To be continued . . .
